Legislative Bill 721 – Surgical First Assistant Practice Act

RASA tracked the adoption of the Nebraska Surgical First Assistant Practice Act and it passed. Law LB721 allows STs with advanced training to perform as Surgical Assistants! The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services approved RASA’s SA training program and the ABSA’s national certification, which our program leads to.

NE LB 721 puts in place a process for surgical first assistants to get licensed. SAs would be licensed though the Department of Health and Human Services.
