Testimonials

What Students are Saying

“In contrast to my previous job as a scrub tech employed at the hospital and being assigned rooms, as a freelancer I get to pick who I like to work with. They appreciate working with me as well. It’s a much better environment for me. I know what I’m good at and my physicians are more than willing to teach me.  It’s nice to feel valuable.  Obviously, I also got a pay increase and the ability to spend more time with my 3-year-old son.”

Micaela, RASA Graduate

“I was already functioning as an experienced first assistant when I started, so for me RASA is a stepping stone to get certified and say I’m legitimate. In a private setting, it’s whatever the doctor wants me to do, but it’s important to get certified for insurance cases in the hospital.”

Rudi, RASA Student

“Once you cross that boundary from surgical tech to surgical assistant, there is more respect from doctors, more trust, more responsibility. If anyone’s looking for a school, RASA is a top-notch, great school that will take you to the next level.”
