Our online distance learning program has incorporated over 20 years of educational experience and represents a convenient and affordable pathway for operating room professionals to enter the expanded role of surgical assistant. Our belief is that all surgical assistants should obtain the formal training necessary to be a skilled, knowledgeable and integral part of the OR team. Our goal is to provide the opportunity to those who are serious about their careers, patient outcomes and being a contributing team member to expand his or her career. Our Mission:
The mission of the Royal Academy of Surgical Assisting is to provide students with current and comprehensive educationally sound training programs that match industry demands and that promotes optimal patient care and ethical professional development, as demonstrated by happy and successful graduates and employers in their chosen career field.
With our current and innovative teaching methods, our students develop the necessary skills through surgical assistant training. Students’ knowledge and ethical principles to meet the standards of the demanding role of a surgical assistant, as defined by the American College of Surgeons. We view ourselves as an extended part of the OR team. The RASA team takes the educational component seriously. We strive to deliver a cost-effective, convenient and comprehensive educational path to achieve our vision, and yours of obtaining surgical assistant certification.
