About Us
The Royal Academy of Surgical Assisting, Inc. was incorporated in Colorado in 2012 and is headquartered in Aurora, Colorado. RASA provides interactive, technology-advanced distance education designed to support qualified operating room professionals who aspire to advance into the Surgical First Assistant role.
RASA’s Surgical Assisting certificate program combines comprehensive surgical education, hands-on skills development, and a supervised clinical internship. The program is designed to prepare competent entry-level Surgical Assistants with the knowledge, clinical skills, professional behaviors, communication, critical thinking, and clinical judgment necessary for safe surgical assisting under the direction and supervision of the surgeon.
